This service provides customized pigmentation, shape, size and texture to simulate the look of a natural areola, by using 3d tattoo artistry techniques. Services include complete areola and nipple restoration, or partial correction (when scars were created around the areola), in order to restore the areola's original size/colour/shape. Usually 2 sessions are required to ensure colour saturation depending on individual skin characteristics. Occasionally inkless scar revision may be required first to smooth out rough scars to match texture more evenly to surrounding skin and for better colour retention.
This service involves the application of a topical serum in combination with tattooing the surface of the flawed skin to induce a controlled micro injury to the area. This promotes the skin's own healing cascade to remodel the surface of the skin by improving texture and sometimes tone. Very beneficial in treating textured scars (especially burns), and stretch marks to further flatten their surface for possible next step camouflage services. Treated area will appear worse post treatment for several weeks until the healing cascade goes into overdrive. Generally by the 8-10 week mark there will be a subtle difference visible and then the area may be treated again. Note this is not a one and done procedure. Since we are relying on the body's own healing mechanism to do the bulk of the work, this can take time, but is the most holistic approach to correction if you have the patience to wait it out. Generally by session 3 there should be minor visible remodeling of the treated area and this is a good sign to keep going for possibly another 2-3 sessions. Maintaining post care is crucial to a positive outcome. Post healing it is imperative to keep the treated area protected with sunscreen as this is fresh skin and will not have a tolerance to uva/uvb exposure.
Microneeedling is very similar to inkless revision in that a topical serum is applied to the face and a tattoo like cartridge is used to produce multiple holes/channels in the skin to both induce a controlled injury to the skin (to allow the skin's own healing cascade to remodel the skin's surface), and allow penetration of the serum to aid in the healing process. Great for large pores, in the treatment of acne, poor or uneven skin tone/texture and may even improve fine lines. Note this is not a one and done procedure. Since we are relying on the body's own healing mechanism to do the bulk of the work, this can take time, but is the most holistic approach to correction if you have the patience to wait it out. Generally by session 3 there should be minor visible remodeling of the treated area and this is a good sign to keep going for possibly another 2-3 sessions depending on the starting point condition of the skin. Post healing it is imperative to keep the treated area protected with a mineral sunscreen. Treated area will feel and look like a sunburn post treatment, this will diminish within 24 hours. Skin may appear worse for first couple of weeks due to trans epidermal water loss (dehydration basically), likewise the necessity to keep on top of post care to protect the skin's barrier.
This procedure employs the fundamentals of tatttooing , but on a more superficial level than a traditional tattoo to create a more natural appearance. Different techniques can be used to achieve different effects from traditional look powder brows, to an ombre style effect, hair strokes, or a combination of any of the above. Inks are custom blended and brows custom shaped to suit the client's facial features, skin tone, and needs. End result is low maintenance brows lasting for 2-5 years. Suitable for all skin types, however some styles are better suited to dryer skin with small pores. Client will leave with brows appearing darker as the ink oxidizes over the next 5 days or so. There could be subsequent flaking, scabbing, and it might appear that the new ink has disappeared completely, however as fresh skin makes its way to the surface it will bring with it about 60-70% of the ink that was deposited. It is not recommended to have the procedure done if there is an upcoming event as the brows can be scabbing for a few days post treatment. Use of Sunscreen is highly recommended for the lifetime of the brows in order to maintain the integrity of the ink and not compromise the colour over time. Generally 2-3 sessions are recommended 6-8 weeks apart to assess healing and retention and address any shape corrections. Colour corrections on previous work may also be considered at the discretion of the Artist and may require several visits to perfect, as a "less is more" approach is utilized to error on the side of caution.
For clients whom have had some sort of abdominal surgery where the navel was not saved, this procedure is for you. 3D tattoo artistry is used to create the visual effect of a navel, restoring what was lost in surgery. If possible the vertical or horizontal scars that are created during surgery are used as part of the design of the new navel. Generally 2 appointments are recommended 8 weeks apart to review healing, colour retention and shape. Use of sunscreen is highly recommended for the life of the tattoo to preserve the integrity of the ink.
For those that have cosmetic tattoo regret, or brows that have faded to an undesirable colour, this service may be for you. An FDA approved saline solution is applied using tattoo techniques to gently lift the colour from the skin using the process of osmosis. Many times more cost effective than laser removal, particularly if you have had limited success with laser removal. Also great for tiny/small tattoo removal. This is not a one and done procedure, however it is the most holistic approach to removal as only the process of osmosis is being use to lift the ink to surface of skin which gets sloughed off in the form of a scab. Likewise there may be several sessions required for the skin to do its own thing. Benefit to this procedure is the ink is removed from the surface of the skin, where as with laser removal the particles are broken down into smaller parts and left up to the body's lymphatic system to flush away. Saline removal is great for small areas, inks that can't be targeted by laser and to remove that last bit that laser treatment couldn't reach. This is not a painless procedure however topical freezing is utilized to mitigate the stinging sensation of rubbing salt in a wound. Sessions should be spaced out a minimum of 8 weeks apart.
"Scar/Stretch Mark Camouflage Tattoo" is a specialized cosmetic procedure that involves tattoo artistry to blend the appearance of the above with the surrounding skin tone. Occasionally inkless revision may be required first to smooth out roughly textured treatment sites to ensure a more favourable outcome with better colour retention.
